How to configure your Windows 95 computer to connect to jellico.com, Inc.

  1. Select Settings and then Control Panel from the Start menu.

  2. Open the Internet icon and change the Home Page address to www.jellico.com then click on the Connect or Setup button under the Connection tab.

  3. Read through the Get Connected! welcome screen and click Next.

  4. Select I want to set up a new connection on this computer to my existing Internet account and click Next.

  5. Select Connect using my phone line and click Next.

  6. Select Create a new dial-up connection and click Next.

  7. Enter in the access number you will be dialing into and click Next.

  1. Fill in the following fields:
Click Next.

  1. Put a dot in the box next to the Yes option to change the advanced settings and click Next.

  2. Select PPP (Point to Point Protocol) and click Next.

  3. Select I don't need to type anything when logging on and click Next.

  4. Select My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one in the IP Address window and click Next.

  5. Select Always use the following in the DNS Server Address window and enter in the following:

  • DNS server:   207.191.185.4
  • Alternate DNS server:  207.191.185.8
  1. Type in jellico.com for the Connection name and click Next.

  2. If you would like to set up your Internet mail account through this wizard, put a check next to the Yes option and click Next.

  3. Select Create a new Internet mail account and click Next.

  4. Type in the name you would like to appear on your email when you send it in the Display name field and click Next.

  5. Type in your email address example: username@jellico.com and click Next.

  6. Fill in the following fields:

  • My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.

  • Incoming mail (POP3) server:  mail.jellico.com

  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:  mail.jellico.com
  1. Select Log on using and fill in the following:
  • POP account name:  Type in your jellico.com username

  • Password:  Fill in your jellico.com password

  • Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password box is NOT checked.

  1. Internet Mail Account Name: Leave this as the default of mail.jellico.com click Next.

  2. If you would like to set up your news account through this wizard, select Yes and click Next.

  3. Select Create a new Internet news account and click Next.

  4. Type in the name you would like to appear on your news postings in the Display name field and click Next.

  5. Type in your email address (username@jellico.net) and click Next.

  6. Fill in news.jellico.com in the News (NNTP) server field and DO check the box next to My news server requires me to log on.  Click Next.

  7. Fill in your jellico.com username and password. DO check the box next to Save Password.  Click Next.

  1. For the Internet news account, you may leave the field as the default and click Next.

  2. Select No to set up a Directory Service and click Next.

  3. Click Finish.

You have now manually configured your computer to connect to the Internet.
