How to configure your Windows 98 Internet Connection Wizard to
connect to jellico.com, Inc.
- Select Settings and then Control
Panel from the Start menu.
- Open the Internet icon and change the Home Page address to jellico.com, Inc.
then click on the Connect or Setup button under the Connection tab.
- Choose I want to setup my Internet connection manually or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN) (the third choice) and then click Next.
- Enter in the access number you will be dialing into.
If you are not sure about your local access number, please call us or see the phone number lookup tool at http://www.jellico.com/dialup.html .
Uncheck the box that says to Use Area Code and Country Code. Then click Next.
- Fill in the following fields:
- User name: Enter in your user
id
- Password: Type in your
password
Then click Next.
- Type in jellico.com for the Connection name
and then click Next.
- If you would like to set up your Internet
mail account through this wizard, put a check next to the Yes
option and click Next.
- Select Create a new Internet mail account
and click Next.
- Type in the name you would like to appear on your
email when you send it in the Display name field and click Next.
- Type in your email address (EXAMPLE: username@jellico.com) and click Next.
- Fill in the following fields:
- My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- Incoming mail (POP3) server: mail.jellico.com
- Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.jellico.com
Then click next
- Fill in the following:
- Account name: Type in your jellico.com username
- Password: Fill in your jellico.com password
- Make sure that the Log on using Secure
Password box is NOT checked.
Then click next
- Click Finish.
You have now manually configured your Windows 98 computer to connect to the
Internet.
